Wig Care
The following is a general outline of how to maintain premium heat resistant fiber (synthetic and human hair blend). Individual product may behave differently based on usage and style.
WASHING
-
Gently detangle the hair from the ends to roots using a wide tooth paddle brush or wide tooth comb.
- Fill up sink with lukewarm water and add 1-2 cap full of "Awesome Wig Shampoo". (Can be purchased here ) Lukewarm water is an important step as too hot of water can ruin the wigs current style.
-
Place hair into lukewarm soapy water making sure to lay it flat to reduce tangling. Do not rub the cap when washing and do not scrub the hairs.
- Let soak for 10-15 minutes. Longer soak time is also fine.
-
After the allotted time, drain sink and gently squeeze out excess soapy water and then rinse well under lukewarm water. Once rinsed, squeeze out excess water and pat dry with a towel. Do not roll or rub the hair into a towel.
-
Place the wig on a wig stand and let air dry. Spray on one of our Leave-in Conditioning sprays and GENTLY brush or comb hair so that it is tangle free. Set to its original style for drying. Never use a blow dryer.
-
Use heat appliances only when hair is completely dried and spray on a heat protectant.
-
Done!
STYLING
-
Do not use heat tools at regular setting. Most fibers can only handle up to 360°F.
-
If wig hair gets frizzy or tangled, spray on one of our Leave-in Conditioning sprays and GENTLY brush or comb hair.
HAIR PRODUCTS
-
Any hair products can be used on wigs, such as hair spray, mousse, gel, etc. since the wigs are washable and reusable.
WIG STORAGE
-
While wigs are not in use, they may be stored in a hair net, on a wig stand, or laid flat in a drawer.
